Meet the Team

Sam Richardson

Sam has been working in the marine industry since 2012, when he undertook an apprenticeship in Salcombe, Devon. Here he worked on many of the Salcombe Yawl fleet before heading to the Solent to work on some larger vessels and widen his experience of construction types, building on his wooden boat background and understanding of GRP vessels.

Danielle Richardson

Having grown up sailing family yachts, Dani started working in the marine industry in 2013 and then went on to study at the Boat Building Academy, Lyme Regis in 2014-2015. She then worked at boat yards, for a Sail Training Charity and a Wood Recycling Project amongst other employments. She is currently drawing on these practical skills whilst studying as a Marine Surveyor to bring a qualified as well as experienced eye to our vessel condition reporting service.

Edward Sault

Twin brother to Sam, Ed has an MA in Fine Arts Conservation. He has a deep scientific understanding of protective finishes and how they interact both with the substrate and the external environment. Tapping into his knowledge in this crossover of discipline has helped influence the processes and products used when painting and varnishing our boats, helping them to survive in the harsh marine environment.

Drift

As chief morale officer Drift has the very important task of tidying up the wood offcuts after a day in the workshop. Reducing trip hazards is essential for a safe workspace after all!
